October 20, 2020 ..

Greetings from your iFlorida Divorce team.

Slowly but surely, the Seventh Judicial Circuit is moving forward with the process of reopening in-person court proceedings, however, the majority of proceedings are still being conducted via Zoom video conferencing. We expect the courts to continue in this manner for the remainder of 2020.

Here at the office, we continue to proceed with caution, taking all necessary steps to safeguard our clients and staff. We are operating as efficiently as ever while observing current CDC guidelines, including mask protection, physical distancing, hand-washing and daily sanitizing of touch surfaces, etc. Like you, all of us at iFD look forward to the day when covid concerns and regulations are more relaxed. At this time, we are grateful that everything is copacetic.

In keeping with these new perameters, our conference room has been transformed into a polished courtroom environment, allowing us to make court appearences and conduct business professionally and seamlessly.

Our investment in state-of-the-art video technology has contributed to a sense of decorum and efficiency in our practice, enabling us to put our best foot forward during the pandemic.

For those of you who are new to video conferencing, this technology has proven to be a viable alternative to in-person communication under unusual circumstances. We are able to connect with clients, judges and colleagues with high quality voice, video and screen-sharing capabilities. It is not a limitation. Rather, it is an effectual solution for moving your case forward, file motions, address client issues, attend court hearings and otherwise collaborate and maintain relationships with our clients and associates.

New clients can elect to meet with us in person OR in our virtual Law Office via ZOOM. For information about Phase 3 of the CDC guidelines, go to here.

First-time video conferencing clients can download the ZOOM app from our home page (or below). Call our office if you need help getting connected. For further information about Video Conferencing, go to zoom.com

Managing your legal matters remains our single priority. We appreciate all of you and will keep you informed about any work being done on your behalf.

Remember, we are always available for you—just an email, phone call, or text message away. We understand and regret the hardships posed by this difficult era. If you believe this covid crisis has affected you to such an extent that court action may be needed, or if “circumstances pose an immediate and present danger to a child,” don't hesitate to call our office.

Please continue to do what you can to keep yourself and your family healthy. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Yours truly, (namaste)

Thérèse, Doug and Makaela

Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing tool (app) used to initiate calls (meetings, conferences) with others by sharing the feed from your webcam, thus giving the illusion of an actual meeting. It is an efficient, FREE technology that enables us to hold private or multi-party, face-to-face meetings. You can connect with ZOOM using your browser and other devices. If you need assistance downloading and connecting with Zoom, use the links below or call our office for assistance (386) 257-4699.
